Simulations

When it comes to learning, life experience is often regarded as the best teacher. In our fast-paced world, however, waiting for employees to learn the knowledge and skills they need on the job through trial and error is not practical, cost effective, or safe. Additionally, high turnover rates can cost industries thousands of dollars as they attempt to get new employees up to speed. Simulations can be extremely valuable tools for reducing the time employees need to reach proficiency in their roles, resulting in cost savings for your company.

Simulations provide an authentic, safe environment in which to practice and develop expertise, exposing learners to a wide range of experiences that could take years to encounter under normal circumstances. Simulations provide an environment in which learners can make mistakes and see the consequences of their actions without a negative impact on the company.

By using simulations as training tools, we can help you accelerate the learning process for employees, reducing the time needed to get them up to speed. The sooner they become proficient in addressing interpersonal situations, using equipment, and/or performing processes in the workplace, the more quickly they will be able to create value for you and your company. We have developed a number of simulations for training purposes, in a variety of styles. Contact us to learn more.

Educational Video Games

Who says learning has to be boring? Video games are another learning alternative that can be used to accomplish training goals. Video games combine the fun and engagement of a game with a more serious and purposeful learning goal in mind. In the appropriate context, video games can provide opportunities to learn and apply knowledge, develop critical thinking skills, and improve performance without the learners feeling like they are receiving instruction. Video games can be a great alternative to traditional approaches for training. The latest generation of college graduates has grown up with gaming and will relate easily to this mode of learning. Contact us to determine if gaming would be an appropriate training alternative for you and your company.
