When it comes to learning, life experience is often regarded as the best teacher. In our fast-paced world, however, waiting for employees to learn the knowledge and skills they need on the job through trial and error is not practical, cost effective, or safe. Additionally, high turnover rates can cost industries thousands of dollars as they attempt to get new employees up to speed. Simulations can be extremely valuable tools for reducing the time employees need to reach proficiency in their roles, resulting in cost savings for your company.

Simulations provide an authentic, safe environment in which to practice and develop expertise, exposing learners to a wide range of experiences that could take years to encounter under normal circumstances. Simulations provide an environment in which learners can make mistakes and see the consequences of their actions without a negative impact on the company.

By using simulations as training tools, we can help you accelerate the learning process for employees, reducing the time needed to get them up to speed. The sooner they become proficient in addressing interpersonal situations, using equipment, and/or performing processes in the workplace, the more quickly they will be able to create value for you and your company. We have developed a number of simulations for training purposes, in a variety of styles. Contact us to learn more.

Educational Video Games

Who says learning has to be boring? Video games are another learning alternative that can be used to accomplish training goals. Video games combine the fun and engagement of a game with a more serious and purposeful learning goal in mind. In the appropriate context, video games can provide opportunities to learn and apply knowledge, develop critical thinking skills, and improve performance without the learners feeling like they are receiving instruction. Video games can be a great alternative to traditional approaches for training. The latest generation of college graduates has grown up with gaming and will relate easily to this mode of learning. Contact us to determine if gaming would be an appropriate training alternative for you and your company.

We live in an exciting time for learning media. Instruction that might have once been delivered in a mundane lecture or with a static piece of reading literature can now be brought to life, self-paced, and made interactive to engage learners and provoke thought like never before.

Our company’s approach to instructional design is flexible and adaptive to fit the unique projects we deliver. We recognize that a one-size-fits-all approach won’t give our customers the best results, and that project designs should be as exceptional as the people who request them. We work closely with you to determine your needs. Then, our team of experts collaborates to design a solution that is right for you. We use research-based design principles blended with ingenuity to ensure that the most efficient and creative path is taken to deliver outstanding and effective results.

Anden Solutions also believes that solid instructional design involves an evaluation. We have experience in designing evaluation plans that will allow you to collect data and analyze the results of any learning intervention you plan to employ. From start to finish, we can take you through the entire instructional design process to meet your learning goals and achieve outstanding results.

An information system consists of several interacting elements that process data and provide information for an organization. The information system is composed of inputs, storage, processes, and outputs. A common misconception is to assume that the information system is just a computer-based application, otherwise known as software. Software is only one component of the greater system.

We use a comprehensive approach in the design and development of information systems. We don’t just consider the isolated area that will be using the information system because we know that each part of your organization is interrelated. Instead, we use a requirement analysis to gather information about your entire organization, its processes, and how you use technology. Based on your results, we write our recommendations and design a unique, customized system that will work well with the culture and workflow of your organization. Generally, the optimization of an information system involves the development of software; but there are cases when the best solution can be attained just by rearranging resources or modifying existing processes.

Process

At Anden Solutions we use a flexible, iterative development process that combines the best features of a variety of information system development methodologies. Our process is extremely effective in reaching the design goals of our customers, even for those customers who are having difficulty defining their requirements. It allows us to shorten the development cycle and use less programmer time, while at the same time producing a more functional, higher quality software.

Depending on the size and complexity of your project, the development iterations could vary from 1 to 6 weeks. At the end of each cycle, we review the output with you to get your feedback. Most of the projects involve a team of developers, including an information systems engineer, a graphic designer, and 2 to 4 programmers.
