Florence, KY – Anden Solutions has been awarded a contract with Best Products Available LLC to add new features to their upcoming Flex-based site www.needsfirst.com. As a part of this contract Anden Solutions will update the existing application and will also modify a series of widgets that will add new functionality to the application.

NeedsFirst.com was created to bring awareness to, and build community around, the needs of disadvantaged people throughout the world. Best Products Available believes that by providing for basic needs first, you will help someone experience the power of God’s generous and providing love allowing them to dream again and evaluate their spiritual condition.

Florence, KY - Anden Solutions has been awarded a contract for the phase II of FONTAGRO’s Information and Knowledge Management Systems Optimization Project. The goal of this project is to provide practical, state of the art, and user friendly tools that will give FONTAGRO’s partner members easy access to information generated by the organization. During phase II of this project, Anden Solutions will design and develop a new website for the FONTAGRO and will create a set of web applications to handle all FONTAGRO’s business needs. The web site and web applications will be based in Drupal. Drupal is a popular Content Management System used by millions of web sites including the White House.

FONTAGRO is a partnership of Latin American and Caribbean countries. This alliance was created to support research and innovation in agriculture. The Fund strives to reduce poverty, promote competitiveness and encourage the sustainable management of natural resources.

Florence, KY - Anden Solutions has been awarded a contract with the Learning Sciences Lab, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. As part of this contract Anden Solutions will design a new web presence for the Learning Sciences Lab, and then customize and deploy a content management system.

The Learning Sciences Lab is committed to doing rigorous research into real world issues in learning and teaching in Singapore schools in ways that will advance important theoretical and research perspectives in the learning sciences and in education. Their research also contributes to five Signature Models of 21st Century learning and teaching: New Literacies, Sciences as Systems, Mathematical Thinking, Knowledge Building Communities, and Emerging Research & Pedagogies.

Anden Solutions works with CET in NIH-funded live simulation to train emergency medical specialists

Florence, KY - Anden Solutions is working with the Center for Educational Technologies at the Wheeling Jesuit university to develop a Live Simulation called CyberSurgeons.
The CyberSurgeons simulation provides an authentic way for high school and college students to apply science knowledge and skills. To complete the simulation, students become part of the fictional CyberSurgeons remote trauma unit on a mercy ship. The simulated ship is equipped with a high-tech hospital and medical research capabilities, state-of-the-art high-end communications systems, and dedicated satellites to relay information. As the ship travels up the Amazon River, the teams of students will receive alerts from research stations located in ports along the way. In real time the students will diagnose various maladies, recommend treatment, and even submit patients for different medical trials.

The Erma Ora Byrd Center for Educational Technologies houses cutting-edge educational technology on the campus of Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, WV. The center is home to the NASA-sponsored Classroom of the Future, the space agency’s principal research and development center for educational technologies. The Center for Educational Technologies also houses the Challenger Learning Center®, which provides students, teachers, and adult learners with simulations that emphasize teamwork, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. The Challenger Learning Center in Wheeling is one of 51 centers worldwide established by the Challenger Center for Space Science in memory of the space shuttle Challenger.

Florence, KY - Anden Solutions is proud to announce that it has donated time to help the Keller Family Community Foundation, a non-profit foundation, to set up a content management system for its site www.snowballcancer.org.

Snowball Cancer Challenge is a snowmobiling event to raise awareness and money to help people with cancer. During this event, Nick Keller will attempt to set a new world record by snowmobiling over 12,200 miles within 60 consecutive days. Nick is planning on snowmobiling within the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. This 60 day event is planned to start between December 2009 and January 2010.

Web-based t-shirt printing software

Anden Solutions LLC is working with The MAD Samurai LLC creating a state-of-the-art web based system for t-shirt printing companies. This software consists of an Adobe AIR application that will be used by the printing company and an Adobe Flex web application used by the clients. This software will allow clients to upload artwork and then visualize it online on 3D models of the t-shirts. The software is being developed using several technologies such as Adobe Flex, Adobe AIR, WebORB for Java, Sandy3D, and MySQL database. Anden Solutions also adopted the Mate framework for this development.

The MAD Samurai LLC was established 2006 with a unique focus on local small businesses who can’t afford a full-time, in-house marketing department but need to compete on the level of larger corporations.
